Summary of Changes for the FMCSR+ Edition. This is the most Up-To-Date FMCSA regulatory book available in the United States; it has ALL regulatory updates through March 15, 2024, with all the following updates:

(a) Recreational Activity Exemption: Implemented a statutory exemption for motor carriers involved in recreational activities within a 150 air-mile radius, exempting them from certain operating authority registration requirements for vehicles transporting 9 to 15 passengers.

(b) Revised the Medical Advisory Criteria.

(c) Adjusted the civil penalty amounts for 2024.

(d) Technical Corrections: Made various minor corrections throughout the FMCSRs to fix errors, update references, and improve clarity and consistency, along with changes to organizational rules and practices.

(e) Financial Responsibility for Brokers/Freight Forwarders: Amended regulations in five areas related to financial responsibility requirements, including assets, suspension of operating authority, surety/trust responsibilities, enforcement, and entities eligible to provide trust funds.
